Sessions.edu is the only nationally accredited online school of design and new media by The Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) in Washington, DC and is the first online school licensed by the State of New York Department of Education.  They offer certificate programs and courses in graphic design, web design, digital design, multimedia, and new media marketing.  To learn more about them and the requirements to complete a course click here.
I started classes with Sessions.edu in 2000.  At first I would just take a class here and there and then I decided to actually work towards the Web Design Foundation Certificate.
Just recently I have completed my Web Design Advanced Certificate, and will start my Web Design Master's Certificate classes sometime within 2008.
